Who We Are
Westminster Church
Jesus stands at the door inviting people of faith to open their lives more fully to him, and more fully to the kingdom of God. Jesus encourages his followers to ask, seek, knock. Faith is an on-going process of seeking the Lord through all the changing circumstances of life. Christian faith is lived, not in isolation, but in community, where it is shared with and nurtured by others. That community is called the church.
Westminster Church, in that shared journey of faith, focuses attention on meaningful worship with quality music, youth and adult education with integrity, local mission through community involvement, and global mission through the worldwide programs of the Presbyterian Church USA.
Robert Keefer is the pastor at Westminster. Sherrill Lisle is the music director and Mary Lou Steffen is the secretary/treasurer. Westminster operates with a session (governing board) of twelve members, elected to three-year terms. A characteristic of Westminster Church is that many of the members are actively involved in the local community--serving as members of boards and foundations, as volunteers, and with service organizations. We believe that our faith calls us to active community involvement.
